This Cookie Policy explains how ChillOut Taghazout Surf Camp uses cookies and similar technologies on this Site, and the choices available to you. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1) What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things about your visit, like your language preference, or help us understand how the site is used. Some cookies are placed by us directly ("first-party"), others by services we use, like Google ("third-party").

2) The Cookie Banner & Your Choice

When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you choose whether to allow non-essential cookies (statistics/analytics) or continue with only strictly necessary ones. Your choice is remembered on this device. You can change your mind at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the site footer, which reopens the banner.

Necessary cookies aren't switched off in the banner because the Site can't function properly without them (for example, security and the cookie-choice memory itself).

3) Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary — always active, can't be switched off.

• WordPress core session/login cookies (only relevant to our own staff logging in to manage the Site).
• A form-security ("nonce") cookie/token used by our contact and booking forms to prevent spam and forged submissions.
• A cookie/local storage entry that remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we don't ask you again on every page.

Statistics — only set if you accept.

• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_<container-id>, and related cookies) — helps us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site (which pages are popular, how people found us) so we can improve it. We use Google's Consent Mode, so these cookies are not set for visitors in the EU/EEA/UK until you accept.

Marketing & Preferences — not currently used to run ads or personalize content, but the technical categories exist in our consent setup for when/if that changes. Accepting or rejecting them has no visible effect on the Site today.

Third-Party Embedded Content — some pages embed content hosted by other companies, which may set their own cookies according to their own policies, outside our control:

• Google Maps — on our Contact and Accommodation pages, to show our location.
• Trustindex review widgets — showing our genuine Google and TripAdvisor reviews.

These load as embedded content regardless of the analytics choice above, the same way they would on any site that embeds a Google Map or a review widget. See Google's and Trustindex's own privacy/cookie policies for details on what they set.

4) How to Control Cookies

Besides our own banner, you can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you see what cookies you have and delete them individually, or block cookies from particular or all sites. Blocking all cookies may affect how well some websites, including ours, work.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
